Please read the entire agreement before signing. This is a non-contact event: no tackling, live blocking, hitting, or athlete-to-athlete contact drills.
1. Permission and event activities
I am the parent or legal guardian of the athlete named above. I authorize my child to participate in BigManU National Lineman Day on December 12, 2026 at Boyd Buchanan School, Chattanooga, Tennessee. The event includes non-contact football technique instruction, agility, footwork, mobility, conditioning, and related drills. No live blocking, tackling, hitting, or intentional athlete-to-athlete contact is authorized.
2. Inherent risks and assumption of risk
I understand that even non-contact athletic activity involves risks, including slips, falls, overexertion, muscle strains, sprains, heat-related illness, accidental collisions, and potentially serious injuries. I acknowledge these risks and voluntarily permit my child to participate. I will inform staff of relevant medical restrictions or accommodations.
3. Release by parent/guardian
To the fullest extent permitted by Tennessee law, I, on my own behalf, release McClendon Curtis individually, BigManU / Big Man University, and their owners, coaches, employees, trainers, volunteers, representatives, and event sponsors from claims belonging to me arising from ordinary negligence related to the event. This agreement does not release gross negligence, reckless conduct, intentional misconduct, or claims that cannot legally be waived. I understand that a parent’s signature may not waive an independent legal claim belonging to a minor child.
4. Emergency assistance
If I cannot be reached promptly during an emergency, I authorize event staff to call emergency services and assist in obtaining medical attention for my child. I understand I may be responsible for resulting medical expenses as allowed by law.
5. Safety and conduct
My child will follow instructions from event staff. Organizers may stop an activity or remove an athlete for unsafe behavior. I understand the event is non-contact, but an injury-free experience cannot be guaranteed.
6. Electronic signature
By entering my legal name as my electronic signature and checking the required agreement box, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian, have read this entire waiver, and voluntarily agree to its terms. My electronic signature is intended to have the same effect as my handwritten signature.
Important: Registration is subject to confirmation. The advertised 50-person limit per group must be enforced by the event organizer or a connected capacity-management service; this form alone does not automatically stop submissions at 50.
